I’ve got 3 more nights to work — I’ve got to finish the wig, and finish tacking down the pleats. And paint my medallions and get them attached.
I’m tackling the wig tonight – I’m hoping to FINISH it tonight, fingers crossed.
Then Tuesday and Wednesday, tacking pleats, washing and restyling my Belle wig, and fixing one thing on Belldandy. Thursday: run errands, pack.

I worked on it nearly all weekend. I got the interior set in, the grommets in and covered (I had to go over them in embroidery floss – the edges were too catchy). the top sash thing attached, and the edges of the two dark purple pieces finished off and snaps attached, and the chiffon hemmed. The grommet covering and the hem took up most of my time.

It’s wearable as it is – all of the edges are finished – just some of my pleat lines didn’t go down far enough so they’re “poofing” over the edge of the sash, and they’re still too puffy all the way up the sides. So it’s me, a needle and thread, and netflix hanging out in my office for the next 3 days.

Honestly this thing has been taking up so much of my mindspace the past few days that I havent really been thinking about anything else; not even really excited for the convention at this point. I know that’ll change once I get more finished and we get closer.

And even if I don’t get all those pleats tacked – the way this thing moves is amazing. So happy with that part. Also – until Saturday I had no idea if it was even going to fit or lay right once it was on, because I hadn’t been able to try it on at all until then, and it all worked out. whew.
